Gufárós
Fantastic trip for the whole family !
Beautiful 2 hour excursion down to the river Hvítá which is a glacier river coming down from Eiríksjöklull. You will experience outstanding scenery like Langjökul, Eiríksjökul, Skessuhorn, Hafnafjalls og Skarðsheiðar to name a few. You can also see one of the oldest bridges in Iceland, built in 1928.
During this excursion we will take you to Gufárós where one of the first settlers, Skallagrímur Kveldúlfsson lived.
If you are feeling daring, you will get the option of riding into the river.
